About Econometrica

Econometrica is a journal published by the Econometric Society.  The journal began in 1933 with the goal of advancing economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics.  It publishes original articles in all branches of economics.

The journal publishes information about the volume of submissions and turnaround time in its annual report.

We strongly encourage recent Ph. D. graduates to submit their work to Econometrica. Our policy is to take into account the fact that recent graduates are less experienced in the process of writing and submitting papers.
