2025 Wellington Applied Econometrics Workshop

Call for Papers | August 29 2025 at Victoria University of Wellington

The workshop brings together economists working in applied econometrics. Topics may include labour, education, health, behavioural economics, and meta-science.

The keynote speaker is Professor Thomas Pfeifer (Massey University). Trained as a computational biologist, Thomas has worked with economists for over a decade. His recent research focuses on replication and how prediction markets and AI can help forecast which findings replicate.

If you would like to present, please submit a paper or abstract (PDF) to Luke.Chu@vuw.ac.nz by 15 May 2025. Submissions will be reviewed, and decisions will be made within two weeks of the deadline. For inquiries, contact the same email.

Presenters will receive free accommodation (1 night for NZ-based presenters, up to 2 nights for international presenters) and a complimentary post-workshop dinner. A free lunch will be provided to all attendees.
